Well, i think this is the restaurant where you can have japanese buffet that will not burn a hole in your pocket. Seriously, where can you get a japanese buffet for about Rm40 per pax?
Some of the foods over there are tasty while some are just so-so.
But i think its definitely worth the money and i will definitely go back again!

Japanese Teriyaki Fish Fillet

Teriyaki is a cooking technique used in Japanese cuisine in which foods are broiled, roasted or grilled in a sweet soy sauce  marinade. The word teriyaki derives from the noun teri (η…§γ‚Š), which refers to a shine or luster given by the sugar content in the tare, and yaki (焼き), which refers to the cooking method of grilling or broiling.

 Japanese Teriyaki Fish Fillet

~300g Dory fish fillet

Seasoning:
1 tablespoon of five spices powder
1 tablespoon of sesame oil
pinch of salt & pepper

Teriyaki sauce:
4 tbsp of soy sauce
2 tbsp of honey / white sugar
4 tbsp of cooking wine
2 tbsp of water
pinch of five spices powder

Method:

1. Cut Dory fish fillet into smaller pieces and marinate with seasonings for about 15minutes.

2. Prepare the Teriyaki sauce by mixing all the ingredients together.

3. Coat Dory fillet with egg and a thin layer of corn flour.
4. Heat 2 tbsp of oil and fry each side of fillet till golden brown.
5. Pour in Teriyaki sauce and simmer under low heat until the sauce thickens.

Tips:
1. You can also marinate the Dory fillet with the Teriyaki sauce but remember to exclude honey and water in it first or you will have a wonderful oily kitchen and black fillets.

2. Sweetness and thickness of sauce can be alter according to personal likings.

Enjoy fooding!
